Recap.

Once again I find myself away from my blog. I know it's shame on me. Anyways, just to recap what's been going on, I finished my first semester of college with a 3.92 GPA (dang science B+). So even though I got that grade, it was still a pretty successful semester. On the last day of the semester, my best friend Steph went back home, I got a job, and I was called to give the prayer in front of the student body at Devotional. And it just happened to be the first one, so it was definitely a packed house. That went ok, I was nervous as heck, but I didn't trip so once again, another success story. But after the semester ended I went home for a week. I spent some time catching up with friends and family. I was able to spend some time with my mom. Her and I made a dress and two pillow cases together. All I might add are DANG cute. Unfortunately when I was home I also caught the bug and was sick for a day. Horrible day. So Sunday it was back to school. I came back home and started a new semester this Monday. I'm taking 16 credits, 2 which happen to be clogging. I love it! And then the unfortunate and heartbreaking news, Tyson and I ended our relationship, so you will no longer be reading about him or seeing new pictures of our adventures together. But I do know that in time, all things will work out how they are supposed to work out. I'm trying to keep positive and have a good time while I'm here. Once again, I'll try and do a better job of keeping this thing updated.. but hey.. I'm in college!! I have no time!!

Oh my word.. I almost forgot!! Steph and I had the opportunity to go down to conference this past April. I had never been before and it was one of the coolest experiences ever!! We went just her and I and went to my cousin Lindsey's house.. We stayed there and were able to see not only Lindsey, but also her husband and my aunt Roxy. It was such a good time. It was amazing to be in the same room as the Prophet Thomas S. Monson, and all of the other general authorities. It was a great experience that I will never forget.

I love this temple!
One of my best friends. I'll miss her.
Ok, now I'm done. :)

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner...

On Sunday, Stephanie, Tyson and I decided we wanted some real food. So real food it was. Grilled chicken on a bed of romaine lettuce topped with Italian dressing. Delightful. :) We couldn't stop smiling during the whole dinner, and hours afterwards.

I want a George Foreman so bad!!!

Sparty Hair!

My roommate Stephanie is on the Spartan swim team here at BYU-I. I never realized how spirited swim teams were until I started going to the meets. They all dress up in crazy gear (Spartans are green), so there's lots of green everywhere.. We were walking in Walmart and EVERYONE knows how early they put out the upcoming holiday decorations, and we saw a bunch of St. Patrick's Day stuff. Bright green stuff galore! We rummaged through it all and found the perfect accessory to go with the "Sparty Party" get up. An emerald green wig! Perfect. We had a lot of fun with it. But one person in particular enjoyed it a little too much.....

(Here are a few more pictures from undocumented activities.)

Curler Party! Yay
Dead Fish. (I learned it from Kara) This is almost an everyday occurrence.

Jackson Hole! It was a blast. (Sorry for the picture quality. It was cold and we didn't want to take a whole lot of time.)

Yay for college!

Valentines Day..(Weekend)

So my roommate Stephanie, Tyson, and I all decided that over the long weekend, we were going to head home. Unfortunately, my parents were in Denver so I didn't get to see them, but we still had a great time!

We headed home on Friday and luckily the drive wasn't too bad. Steph and I both did a lot of homework (so we didn't have to do it over the weekend), and we all just talked. We wanted to make sure that we capture the events that happened, so luckily I have quite a bit of new pictures!

Rocking out to Bohemian Rhapsody

Quick.. Take a picture!
Steph getting a taste of Royalty
Valentines day morning was so cute. Tyson had come over early and had set up a two trails of chocolates, one for Steph and one for me. Me being the nerd that I am actually ended up following Steph's trail and found some chocolate and flowers. Then I read the card and realized it said Happy Valentine's Day Stephanie. (Whoops) So I went back out and headed to the other trail. At the end it also had a beautiful bouquet of flowers and really, really good chocolates. It was so nice of him to get BOTH of us stuff, since Steph didn't have a significant other. :)

I then made pancakes for everyone. Steph's was a huge pancake with raspberry chocolate chips, Tyson's was a heart pancake with peanut butter and red strawberry jam, and mine was just a little Mickey Mouse with good ol' butter and syrup.

We also all decided that we were going to get our hair cut while we were down. I cut off about 3 inches and got bangs, Steph got a trim and dyed her hair dark brown, and Tyson also just got a little bit of a clean up. Before we left, Steph was looking for her phone in Tyson's car. She had him call her phone and we kept hearing the ringer but couldn't find it anywhere. All of a sudden, Steph starts to head to the towards the garage, and all of a sudden she starts cracking up laughing. She went to the garbage can and opened the lid. And there was her phone. It had gotten mixed up with stuff she had thrown away, and it had been there all night. Tyson, being the nice guy he is got it for her. :)

New Hair for Everyone!

(Tyson was chewing his gum)

We headed of to Fiesta Guadaljara ate some good food, and then headed off to Boise. We had to go find some church clothes to wear because I was supposed to be wearing a skirt that Steph was bringing, and come to find out, she had forgotten it, so I had no church clothes. But it all worked out because she got this really cute new dress from Downeast, and it was so comfy!

Steph's First Fiesta!
After shopping, we headed over to a tennis tournament to watch my brother Cameron play. His partner was a little full of himself, but they won and it was really fun to watch. And I just so happened to have the school's camera, so I was able to get some cool shots. :)

Overall the weekend was full of relaxation and watching movies. I'm so glad that Steph was able to come home with me, because now she kind of sees where I come from. :D
